Travel Note

Getting to Santa Barbara

Flying into SBA: There are no direct flights to Santa Barbara from most cities. Coming from the east, your connecting flight will arrive late in the day in Santa Barbara, so plan to fly in on Thursday. Flying into LAX: It can be cheaper to fly into LAX and take the Santa Barbara Airbus which costs about $100 round-trip.

Travel Note

Getting around Santa Barbara

Uber and Lyft are available in Santa Barbara, so it’s not necessary to rent a car. Our wedding venue is located downtown. If you stay nearby, much of what you’d want to see is walkable and the main street (State) has been turned into a pedestrian street. We plan to offer activities on Saturday and Sunday that are not downtown, so plan for around 4 trips total in an Uber or Lyft if you choose not to rent a car.

Travel Note

Where to Stay

We will not be booking a block of rooms at a hotel, but there are many options in the immediate area. We recommend booking a hotel or Airbnb downtown near upper State Street (away from the beach) as that will put you within walking distance to our venue and much that Santa Barbara has to offer. Click the "VIEW" button below to visit a Google Doc with info on areas and hotels we recommend staying in as well as areas we recommend avoiding.
