It all began in a biology class at the University of Cincinnati, where fate (and a group project) brought us together. We quickly became friends, bonding over study sessions and lab work — and before long, we realized there was something more between us. We officially started dating in the summer of 2019, when Alec would drive over an hour — at least once a week — to visit Claire at her parents’ house (which is especially impressive, considering how much Alec hates driving!). Those visits became the highlight of our weeks and the beginning of a love that’s only grown stronger ever since. In 2020, Claire convinced Alec to help foster a service dog in training — and, as you might guess, that “temporary” foster quickly turned permanent. By 2022, we officially adopted our fabulous flunky, Mantis, who has been the best addition to our little family. That same year, we both graduated from the University of Cincinnati with our bachelor’s degrees and moved to Kettering to begin the next chapter of our lives together. Then, on December 12th, Alec got down on one knee and asked Claire to spend forever with him. It was the perfect moment — simple, sweet, and completely us. Now, we’re beyond excited to celebrate our special day with all of you — our favorite people — and we can’t wait for whatever adventures come next!
