We met while living in the same apartment building in Washington, D.C.! We were both new to the building and in that phase of saying hello to everyone on the elevator. Nico introduced himself and immediately started chatting about the neighborhood and restaurants and the secret recipe for CocaCola. After running into each other a few more times, Nico invited Claire to his David Bowie themed Halloween party. Claire strolled down the 4th floor hall and met some of Nico's friends. Nico was impressed by Claire's commitment to the theme with her Ziggy Stardust inspired makeup and jumpsuit. Later that night, Nico and some of the other musicians at the party played a rendition of "Changes" and some of Nico's original songs. Claire was enchanted by Nico's melodic voice and charming hosting skills. A few weeks later and one strategic "star gazing" invite, Claire and Nico decided they wanted to start dating. Since then, we moved in together in D.C., traveled across Europe, and eventually landed in Seattle, Washington (and soon to be Tacoma, WA!).
