celebrate with us in the mountains

As we stand on the threshold of a new chapter in our lives, we are grateful for the love and support of our family and friends who have been with us every step of the way. We can't wait to celebrate our love and commitment surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. We hope you'll spend a weekend with us in one of our favorite places, Frostburg. It's a dreamy small town with cute cafes and fantastic outdoor activities. Claire's parents have a longstanding love for hosting at their oasis in the woods, and they can't wait to throw their biggest party yet.

It's no surprise that as curious and dedicated people, Kent and Claire both ended up on a path to practice medicine. Claire needed someone from the ACLP program to help her in the clinic. This is where fate steps in, and by chance a close friend recommended Kent! They had their first meeting at Port Orleans to discuss the clinic project. This is a meeting, but it isn't a love story...yet. Our chance encounter starts to form its way into a love story beneath glittering stars in Arkansas' Garvan Woodland Gardens. It's honed by flowers picked on hikes along foggy Virginia coastlines. It's deepened on Icy Idaho ski slopes, Maryland woods, and in California Mountains. Kent and Claire had a wild joyous love, suddenly it started to look like a life together. They moved into the Pink and Purple house on Hennessey and brought home their puppy Miso. Claire takes a year to work on research so that she and Kent can graduate medical school together. As counterpart to that commitment, Kent returns from their trip to India with a custom-designed ring packed in his bag. That chance meeting turned love story solidified into a family when Kent asked the question in the City Park Sculpture Garden - it's no surprise Claire said YES! Claire and Kent were married in their New Orleans church with their families on Jazz Fest weekend. This story will be continued with a celebration of their marriage in June 2025.
