We met the way all great love stories begin....in middle school gym class. While we were both more focused on surviving the fitness gram pacer test at the time, Brennen admits that’s when he first developed a little crush. Years later, that middle school friendship turned into something more. Our first official date was on October 24th, 2019, at Panera Bread in Coon Rapids. (Claire somehow managed to get broccoli cheddar soup on her face...and yes, we still laugh about it.) From that day forward, our lives started intertwining in the most beautiful ways. We truly knew it was love not during any big, grand moment, but in the small, everyday ones; like late-night car rides, holding hands on hiking trails, and feeling completely at home in each other’s company. Over the years, we’ve shared so many adventures: road-tripping through Canada and up the North Shore, camping under the stars, adopting our beloved dog Archie, and celebrating six wonderful rounds of holidays together. On April 11th, 2025, at our favorite hiking spot, Tettegouche State Park, Brennen popped the question, and Claire said yes (through happy tears). We can’t wait to begin this next chapter of life as husband and wife. Brennen loves Claire’s perseverance and passion for life. Claire loves Brennen’s kind heart, endless patience, and easygoing spirit. Together, we’re building a life full of laughter, love, and lots of soup (hopefully not on anyone’s face this time).
