Before Brad left for his year of service in South Korea, we took one last trip to his family's lake house at Smith Mountain Lake. On June 13th, we decided to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate my graduation from college and his graduation from Army AIT. After stuffing ourselves with seafood and desserts, we decided to take a walk. At the water's edge, he got down on one knee! We spent the rest of the night laughing, checking out the sparkly ring, and calling friends and family. It is so special to have been engaged at such a loved, calming, and beautiful place. SML has always had our hearts, and will forever be a place that holds fond memories!

This spring, we found out Brad's new orders... Ft Drum, NY! We are so pleased that he is staying on the east coast! We got married in Brad's hometown of Winchester VA at the George Washington Hotel. The McGuires' close family friend Beth Kellas officiated our marriage in the Martha Ballroom. After the ceremony while friends and family went to happy hour at the Wine Room a few blocks away, Brad and I took photos at the hotel and in the Winchester Walking Mall. We received cheers and honks as we made our way through Winchester! A delicious dinner reception was served at Union Jack Pub. We finished the night back at the hotel bar with drinks and lots of laughs! It was such a fun celebration of our love and the best way to start our live together (finally!!). Shortly after, we moved up to Watertown NY to begin our next adventure... This time as husband and wife!
