Ben sat in the same row as Claire in their first year civil procedure class at Georgetown Law. And in their property class. They were fast friends and Claire invited Ben to join her study group. (Claire remembers Ben asking to be included.) Ben credits Claire with any and all success he had on law school exams during their first year. Claire credits Ben with keeping her laughing throughout studying. Two years later they started dating. Ben claims he had a crush all along. Claire claims she did, too. Shared milestones now include a law school graduation, bar exam prep and success, and still liking each other after navigating foreign public transportation. After a year living apart, filled with many D.C. to Columbus and Columbus to D.C. flights, Claire designed a ring, and Ben got down on both knees in Paris, France. Claire said yes and Ben moved to D.C. And then Claire moved to Ohio!
