Liz and Claire met on an early Saturday morning in the Fall of 2013 while both in the Art Department at Appalachian State. Claire was asked to help direct a video for a class project at a duplex and was mistakingly told to go to the apartment on the left when it was actually the one on the right. So, Claire kept knocking until Liz, still in bed and ignoring these knocks, realized the neighbor hosting the video project was still out from the night before. She invited Claire in for coffee until the neighbor finally came home. Later that night, Claire wanted to thank Liz for inviting her in for coffee, so she found her on Facebook and offered to buy her a coffee in return. That coffee outing lasted about three hours. Invitations to get coffee together turned into invitations to grab lunch, and these outings started to last longer and longer. After three months of getting to know each other, the dating officially began. 11 years later, we're finally married!
