Wedding Reception

Clair and Matthew met for the first time on Christmas Sunday of 2021. They were introduced by her cousin, Bentley. Clair had just returned for a visit to her hometown of Greenville South Carolina, where she was born and lived until she was 10 years old. Matthew was the new kid on the block and had just moved from New York. Trying to make new friends and experience the community around him, he decided to take a gamble and go to a New Year's Eve church dance that week. While standing in a corner of the gym, talking and cutting up with friends, he saw Clair walk into the gym with her cousins. They recognized each other and not too long after were talking, laughing, and dancing into the night! Clair, knowing she was heading back to Texas the following day, confidently asked Matthew for his number to seal off an amazing night of fun with one another. More than three years later, Clair came home from her mission, and after a long friendship they decided that life was just better together.
