We met at work lol Stefanie was in leadership at the time and I was a lowly sales associate at a sporting goods store. I remember seeing her walking and thinking how cute she was but I was still in the process of learning the ins and outs of being gay so I never approached her. On August 18th, 2013 a mutual friend of ours threw a coming home party for me as I had spent the summer working out of state. She had been invited and I had had time to grow and learn myself better and my confidence had grown, so I pursued her.... 5 years later here we are!

We were vacationing in Hawaii with Stefanie's family and one night Stefanie's mom insisted we go and watch the sunset on the beach. Now, you're in Hawaii, on vacation, not a care in the world... You don't turn down watching the sunset on the beach! While we were down there, a gentleman who works for the resort we were staying at began blowing the Conch shell to signal the sun setting. When I turned around from watching him, Stefanie was on one knee asking me to marry her! We are so excited to be celebrating this next chapter in our lives and so glad all of you are willing to join in on the fun! See you in Palmer!
