Despite the fact that we grew up in neighboring towns, we went our entire childhoods and teenage years without crossing paths. With Sam attending college in Lowell and Alli doing the same in St. Augustine, Florida, it seemed unlikely that we'd ever meet. That was, until a global pandemic brought Alli back to Massachusetts and, unexpectedly, to the very same college Sam was attending. This proved to be the beautiful silver lining of an otherwise unimaginable situation. When we met on campus, we became instantly inseparable. In just a few short weeks, it already felt like we were enriching each other's lives in ways we never could've imagined: sharing endless laughs, joyous times, and opposing passions for poetry and engineering. It soon became clear that neither of us wanted these incredible times to end... ever! Since then, we've experienced dozens of adventures together, including trips to California and Vermont, a homemade musical of Alli's creation about Sam's life, the adoption of the two fluffiest cats in the world, and the gift of witnessing each other grow into the people that would eventually decide to spend a lifetime together. The decision to get married couldn't have been an easier one. In fact, Sam was so sure that Alli was right for him that he took down her ring size and preferences after only a few months of dating, which sure came in handy! We're so excited for the big day (and the decades that will follow)!
