Located across the river from our Venue, is the beautiful and historic United States Military Academy at West Point. Celebrate the 250 year anniversary of our nation by visiting the West Point Museum or joining a guided tour of the campus grounds. History buffs can explore the remnants of the Hudson River Chains - built during the American Revolutionary War to prevent British naval vessels from sailing up river.
The Hudson Valley offers a variety of hiking trails at many difficulty levels: Easy: Dennings Point, Fishkill Creek Path, Little Stony Point, and Hessian Lake Loop Moderate: Anthony's Nose and Sugarloaf Hill Trail Difficult: Bear Mountain, North and South Beacon Mountain Additional hiking can found in Bear Mountain State Park, Hudson Highland State Park, Harriman State Park, Shawanguk Refuge, and Minnewaska State Park.
Beacon, NY offers some small town charm along the Hudson. There is a charming main street with a variety of shops, restaurants, and breweries, including a donut shop called Glazed Over Donuts. Beacon has a contemporary art installation called the Dia Beacon. In the summer, there are several farmers markets in the area as well.
