We officially met for the first time about two weeks after we started talking online. As cliché as it sounds, match.com was where it all began. We had our first date at Carolina Ale House on a Monday. By Sunday, we were on to our second date, and from there the rest is history. I actually said prior to sending my first response to Vinnie's message, "This is it. If this doesn't work out I will be a single dog mom forever!" I'm so glad I decided to respond to that message!
Vinnie had just gotten back from deployment and we had planned to celebrate by taking a cruise to the Bahamas. I had been dropping some not-so-subtle hints for the past 9 months that he better be popping the question soon after returning from deployment. He would make some joke and brush it off. I was convinced he would not propose on our trip. Our first day in port, we were at beautiful Half Moon Cay. Vinnie booked a photographer to take photos of us on the beach, it was there he surprised me and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was completely unexpected and the happiest moment of my life. We're so excited to share this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in RVA!
