Our Love Story

The best love stories begin with friendship.

We met in high school—two classmates trying to survive early mornings, confusing math problems, and questionable cafeteria food. Back then, we were simply familiar faces in the crowd. We shared a few classes, exchanged polite hellos, and went about our separate lives. It wasn’t anything out of a movie—yet. After graduation, everything changed. We reconnected and started spending more time together. What began as casual hangouts turned into deep conversations, endless laughter, and a friendship that felt effortless. We became best friends—the kind who talked every day, knew each other’s quirks, and could communicate with just a look. As our friendship grew, so did our feelings. One of us may have realized it first… and the other may have taken just a little longer to catch up. But when the moment came to finally say how we felt, it didn’t feel dramatic or overwhelming—it felt natural. What could have been nerve-racking instead became the beginning of something we both knew was special. Our first official date was at Italian Village. There were nerves, overthinking, and probably a little too much self-awareness—but there was comfort too. Over slices of pizza and plenty of nervous smiles, something clicked. That night marked the start of a relationship built on friendship first, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. A few months into dating, we adopted our first dog, Drew. He quickly became our sidekick, snuggle buddy, and unofficial relationship therapist. Not long after, we added Buffy to the mix—doubling the chaos and the cuteness. Our little family of four has brought us more joy (and dog hair) than we ever imagined. Through road trips, lazy weekends, long conversations, endless laughter, and even the occasional debate about what to watch on Netflix, we’ve built a life that feels like home. We’ve grown together, supported one another, and found happiness in the small, quiet moments that matter most. When it came time to propose, we both knew this was forever. With the help of our families, a surprise proposal was planned at Memorial Park—complete with flowers, candles, and a handmade sign that read, “Trina, will you marry me?” There were tears, laughter, and a very easy “yes.” Now we’re stepping into a new chapter—one built on friendship, loyalty, and a whole lot of love. We’re so grateful to celebrate this moment at the Murray Armory surrounded by the people who mean the world to us (and probably a few paw prints on our wedding outfits). After everything that brought us here, we know the best part of our story is still ahead. We can’t wait to begin forever together.
