Although freshman Naomi never crossed paths with CJ during her only year at Saint Leo University, she would eventually find her way to the man who embodies all six of the school's core values just three years later. Spring 2018, Pre-graduation: As CJ and mutual best bud, Britt, were searching for their future home in Tampa, Florida, they realized a third roommate would best support their post-graduate bank accounts - enter Naomi. While she couldn't be their third roommate at the time, one day she joined them for an apartment search through the East Tampa area. Upon their first meeting, she took CJ's quiet and standoffish demeanor (which he would later clarify was him being nervous) as a flag to stay away from him. She did her best. Summer 2018, Post-graduation: Naomi spent graduation weekend (and the rest of the summer) with Britt and CJ. While getting Britt and CJ moved into their new apartment with the help of friends and family, exploring Florida with locals and visitors, and integrating into the working world as adults, eventually, CJ grew on Naomi. Summer 2018, Fourth of July weekend: CJ was ready to host Dakota and DJ, his hometown homies from Pennsylvania, in Tampa for a weekend of fun in the sun. One memorable night out in the SoHo district with Britt, Dakota, and DJ, segued into an inseparable remainder of the summer for CJ and Naomi. On August 1st, after a summer of saying that they were not looking for a serious relationship, they made things official after a Panic! At the Disco concert at the beloved Amalie Arena in Tampa. 5 years, several home relocations, job changes, a pandemic, and one puppy later, they are excited and proud to celebrate their love and enduring commitment to each other, with the people that they love the most.
