It all started with a normal night out in Ybor, Tampa when Matt could feel CJ staring at him from across the bar. Matt lived in Ybor while he finished his residency and CJ was in town for a cousin’s wedding. CJ approached Matt to ask him about a red light up bracelet to break the ice, and what started off as an innocent encounter turned into much more. After that night, casual texts intermittently throughout the day turned into consistent, obsessive texting everyday as we were both excited to get to know each other a little bit more. Two months later, COVID-19 became a thing and ruined a few of our planned visits back and forth to visit each other. As the Pandemic drove people apart, it actually brought the two of us closer together. We spent almost every waking hour isolated in our respective apartments on facetime with each other cooking, exercising, watching the same shows, etc (cringey, we know). In the end, COVID became our blessing as it solidified Matt’s move to NYC and opened the doors to amazing adventures, countless laughs, and the completion of each others’ lives. Here we are over 4 years later and excited to celebrate the next chapter with everyone!
