How We Met

Yes, we met through Tinder, but there is always a success story with it. The night we had matched on Tinder, we started talking and stayed up until about 3 am, messaging back and forth. A couple days later, we started making plans to meet up. Chelsey and I decided we could go meet with him, but the purpose of the trip was not really to meet with him. We were going to see them to take a roller stick from them that Chris had offered to Chelsey and I. We decided it was time to go, got all dolled up and then made the trek over the mountain. After watching an episode of criminal minds, we lost our reception going over the mountain and thought immediately, we were going to die. Luckily we made it to the other side of the mountain and met up with Chris and his best friend Jordan. From there we spent weekends going to see them, and making the hour drive back and forth to see them, watched some of their baseball and on November, 1, 2015, Chris finally asked me to be his girlfriend. From there, it was history, and we got engaged on July 31, 2017, and will be getting married July 6, 2019!

The Engagement

July 31, 2017

Chris came up to Canada to spend a couple weeks with me, the weekend he came he decided that he wanted to go see a Blue Jays game, just for the fun of it, because if anyone knows Chris, they know that he loves baseball! That Friday we went to the late game (which started at 7:07) and after the game he decided that he wanted to go for a walk down by the waterfront. We walked along the water for about 20 mins before we got to the point where the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre was behind us all lit up, and he asked if we could take a photo, I was so tired and just wanted to go home and I didn't want to ask a random person to take a photo of us. On the way home Chris said "if anyone tries to wake me up early tomorrow i'm not doing anything!" So the next morning around 8:30AM my dad came down to ask us if we wanted to on a wine tour, I wanted to sleep in, but Chris was very chipper to get up and go. I then thought okay well wine country is beautiful, and I know he's got my ring somewhere (because he cant keep a secret and I worked at the place he bought my ring at) and I thought for sure this was the day he was going to propose, I was surrounded by my best friends and family, so why not. The end of the day rolled around and he still hadn't done it. The following day we were set to go to the Jays game with mom and dad, and we went early so that we could get the red jerseys they were giving away, when we got there the lines were too long so we decided to go for a walk down at the waterfront again, and this time I was willing to take the picture, and before I knew it, he was on his knee and it happened. He asked me to marry him and obviously I said YES! Best birthday gift Chris could have asked for!

For all the days along the way
