Our story started at the end of our sophomore year, when we were paired up for a group project. CJ swears Chelsea was flirting from day one. Chelsea insists she just knew he liked her. (We’re still debating this.) We hit it off while working on the project, but it wasn’t until a few weeks later—once summer started—that things really began. CJ saw his roommate heading out on a date, felt inspired, and texted Chelsea. She just happened to be a few subway stops away and figured, “Yeah, why not?” That one text led to a summer of nonstop hangouts. We quickly became inseparable, spending nearly every day together. By the end of the summer, CJ officially asked Chelsea to be his girlfriend—and she said yes. We graduated together in 2019 and planned to stay in New York, but COVID had other ideas. After spending a few months in lockdown with Chelsea’s family in Texas, we made the big decision to leave our Brooklyn apartment and start fresh down south. Two years later, we packed up once more and moved to Chicago, where we’ve lived for the past three years. On December 20th, 2024, while strolling through Christmas lights in Texas, CJ got down on one knee—and Chelsea said yes (again). After years of adventures, cross-country moves, and plenty of takeout dinners on the couch, we’re so excited for what’s next—and we can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of this new chapter with all of you in Las Vegas!
