Can I bring my kids?

We love your little ones, but our wedding is an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a fun, relaxing and kid free evening with us.

What is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code is Semi-Formal Black. Think classic, polished and primarily black. We're going for an elevated, all-black look — timeless, chic, and photo-ready. For men, black suits are perfect, paired with a black or white dress shirt and a black tie or even no tie for a slightly relaxed vibe. For women, black cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or elegant separates all work beautifully. Dress it up, keep it sleek, and you're set!

Does everything have to be black?
Answer
Your main outfit should be black. Accessories (shoes, wraps, winter jackets, jewelry, ties, etc.) can absolutely add personality and don’t have to be black.

Can I wear patterns?

Subtle patterns are fine as long as the overall look reads black and semi-formal.

Is this a tuxedo event?
Answer
No need for a tux! Think polished and elevated— not black tie.

Can I bring a guest/plus-one?
Answer
Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests who are listed on the invitation. If your invitation does not include a plus-one, we appreciate your understanding and hope you'll still join us!

What about the weather?
Answer
While the ceremony and reception will be held indoors, cocktail hour will be outdoors, so bring a winter jacket or wrap (any color!) to stay comfortable. There will also be space heaters, but because the Michigan weather can be unpredictable, there is an indoor option if there is inclement weather.

Is there parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes! There is a parking lot at Ivy House that will be utilized for free by our wedding guests only.

Are all of the wedding events at the same location?
Answer
Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all held at Ivy House.

BYOB?
Answer
Please do NOT bring your own alcohol. We will get charged a significant fee if any alcohol is on the premise. The venue will have alcohol, on us!
