We're getting married!

Dylan and Melissa met while both attending Lake Highlands High School. They joined the school in 2011 but funny enough, they did not speak to each other until 2014 when they both signed up for English class. Dylan had wanted to start a conversation with Melissa before but was hesitant and thought she would not be interested, that was until a classmate suggested that the both of them would make a good couple. That classmate was Melissa’s neighbor trying to play Cupid as a joke. While a substitute teacher took over the class, the students were asked to read aloud paragraphs from the book they were reading, “Macbeth”. One of their classmates had a hard time and was funny while reading, Melissa could not contain her laughter and Dylan knew this was his moment to step in and use it as a conversation starter. With a simple DM on Instagram, Dylan and Melissa started messaging about how their day went, school, and weekend plans. Dylan was a ball kid for the Dallas Mavericks at the time and decided to give Melissa two tickets to attend a game, he figured that would be a way of finding out if she had a boyfriend she would bring along. Instead, Melissa showed up alone. Melissa was definitely interested and excited to get to know Dylan. The conversation was smooth, even though Dylan was too nervous to look her in the eye. Melissa was so amazed by how well they got along. Both of them felt a spark and knew that it could be the start of something beautiful.

Dylan planned a breathtaking proposal for his longtime girlfriend, Melissa. He planned a lovely trip where they stopped at the Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Antelope Canyon provided the perfect backdrop for this romantic gesture. As Melissa and Dylan explored the winding passageways and admired the picturesque sandstone formations, Dylan found the ideal spot to pop the question… The Heart-Shaped Chamber. With the mesmerizing beauty surrounding them, while posing for a photo, Dylan got on one knee and expressed his love and commitment to Melissa, asking her, “Will you marry me?”, Melissa was overwhelmed with joy and emotion. She blindly accepted, and the two shared a moment that will forever be etched in their memories.
