Yes; Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature (201 West Tenth Street, Bradenton, Florida).
5:00PM - The official wedding ceremony will begin no later than 5:30PM. Because our wedding venue is a museum open to the public, they will not allow guests in for private events before they close at 5:00PM. However, if you wish to visit the museum, you may arrive earlier and pay an admission fee. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the official ceremony start time so that you can get settled before the ceremony begins.
Although we would love to celebrate with all of you forever and ever, our reception will end at 11:00PM.
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors in a partially covered courtyard. The cocktail hour will take place outdoors within a different space on the venue property.
Temperatures in Bradenton, Florida during December can range from 60 to 80 degrees, with it being a bit chillier in the evenings.
Yes - Free street parking is available on 10th Street West in front of The Bishop Museum for up to 3 hours at a time. There are also several parking locations available in downtown Bradenton convenient to the Museum, including the parking garage at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 10th Street West, and the Manatee County parking garage at the corner of Manatee Avenue and 10th Street West.
Yes - Please utilize the front ramps available at the entrance if necessary. The venue property is all ground level. When you arrive, enter the ceremony space through the side entrance, to the right of the main museum entrance. There will be signage to direct you. The ceremony and reception will take place in the south courtyard (with a concrete ground) and the cocktail hour will take place on the east lawn (with grass ground).
If you know us, you know we share a love for really good food and really good drinks so we are excited to share this experience with all of you as food brings people together. Here's what you can look forward to: Cocktail Hour: As you mingle and celebrate, enjoy our open bar offering a variety of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to suit all tastes. Complementing the drinks, we will have a charcuterie grazing table brimming with an assortment of cheeses, meats, crackers, and more. Reception: For dinner, we will be serving a family-style meal, allowing everyone to share and enjoy a variety of dishes. You will have several choices of delicious entrees and sides, ensuring there is something for everyone. Following dinner, we will share our very special wedding cake with those who would like to indulge.
Yes - As a thank you to all of our guests, there will be an open-bar serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during the cocktail hour and reception.
