Yes, the text you received is your official (and only) invite. A core value of our family is to be environmentally conscious and spend our money on things that we/our guests actually care about (like good food). So instead of getting an expensive paper invite, looking at it just long enough to put the info in your phone, then throwing it in the garbage, you'll receive your invitation the same way you received your save-the-date: via text. If you would like an email copy as well, please let one of us know and we'll be happy to send you one. All RSVPs will be done through the website (go to "RSVP" tab above).
The RSVP date will be on your invitation. Any RSVPs not received by this date will be considered a no. This is so we can maximize our set (and prepaid) limit of 100 invitations. Any unclaimed seats will be offered to friends or family we couldn't include in our initial invites. As such, if you initially RSVP "yes" and later determine you will not be able to make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we do not miss out on having as many loved ones around us as possible.
Cocktail Attire: Cocktail dresses, LBDs, and dressy jumpsuits for women. Jacket, tie (including bolo - it is Nashville!), and slacks for men. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside so please plan accordingly. Keep it classy.
If your date is not specifically named on the invitation and RSVP site, no. The venue requires a final head count a month prior and we are paying a set price up to 100 people for the ceremony and reception. Any "wedding crashers" will be front kicked off the premises by one of our fellow black belts.
As with the plus ones, if your child is not specifically named on the invitation they are not invited to the ceremony and reception.
Since we live in Goodlettsville, we have never stayed in a hotel here. Some of Jessica's relatives have stayed in hotels on Main Street in Goodlettsville and not had a great experience, so we would recommend one of the many Air BnBs in the area instead. There is a link to the Goodlettsville Air BnB search on the "Travel" tab of this site. If you would like to see the sights while you are here and are ok with being farther from the venue, we would recommend staying in East Nashville. There are a number of trendy, highly recommended hotels and Air BnBs and you should still be within 20 minutes of the venue. East Nashville has a number of great dive bars, breweries, and restaurants and is Uber-able to downtown Nashville.
If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please let us know on your RSVP. The dinner will be a buffet, so a separate plate will be prepared for you.
Yes! The ceremony and reception are both at Drakewood Farms, which has a large parking lot to the right of the venue. There will be plenty of parking and easy drop off if you choose to ride share. Uber and Lyft are both available in this area. It is a short walking distance from the parking lot to the venue, but if you anticipate needing assistance, please let us know as a golf cart will be available for elderly or handicapped guests to get to and from the parking lot, ceremony site, and reception area.
Since most of our family members have elected to book Air BnBs, we will most likely not employ a shuttle service. There will be plenty of parking and we would highly recommend ride sharing with other guests or utilizing Uber/Lyft if you plan on drinking.
We will be serving beer, wine, and two signature cocktails. We will be supplying the alcohol to the venue, so please let us know if you have a strong preference in your RSVP (it's ok if you change your mind later - it'll just help us with a rough estimate of how much we need of each!). No outside alcohol is allowed per the venue. We will also have blackberry lemonade and peach tea for non-drinkers and under 21-ers.
