Thank you for your patience as we have been monitoring the current situation. Although we cannot have the celebration that we were hoping for, we have decided to move forward with a more intimate affair on September 20th, 2020. With the ever-changing environment our world is experiencing, it is only right that our celebration evolves with it as well. Cindy had recently moved back to New Jersey from Pennsylvania and decided to go to a horror movie marathon on September 21, 2014, hosted by bridesmaid Ann Marie (Ahmie). She made sure to get there early to be the first one on the scene. On this day, she rocked her new pixie haircut, giant stuffed Spyro the Dragon, and her Doctor Who t-shirt –which had been her latest obsession. Too bad she has never met a live person who is just as crazy about this show as she was - until today. As she arrived at Ann Marie's house, Cindy noticed another guest already sitting on the couch. A man about her age wearing a black t-shirt. Unknown to her, he had already stalked her Facebook page days before. The formalities went like this: Cindy: “Hi my name is Cindy” Chris: “Hi I’m Chris….*looks at Cindy’s T-Shirt*...Do you... Do you like Doctor Who?” Cindy: * eyes lit up like the Tardis just exploded because a live human being recognized her t-shirt. * "I love Doctor Who!! * Chris pulled out his Tardis (Doctor Who) phone case, and they both high fived each other. Chris: "We are going to be good friends" with a twinkle in his eyes. That whole evening Chris and Cindy exchanged geeky banter and shared experiences from their most recent trip to the renaissance fair - something else they had in common. The rest is history. These two had a lot in common and they started dating. Traveling to faraway places, collecting crystals of all shapes and sizes, and cosplaying for various events. “We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” ― Dr. Seuss

Chris and Cindy went to visit their friend Bobby (guest of honor) on the beautiful island of Samoa. They have been soaking in the sun and the incredible culture for a few days when on May 23rd, they ventured out on a beautiful secluded location appropriately named Vavau Beach (the ancient ones). Within an hour Cindy announced that this is the most beautiful beach she has ever visited. The crystal white sand highlighted the turquoise blue waters. They all walked along the sand and collected an assortment of treasures: seashells and various colored sea glass. The weather was perfect and so was the water. At some point, Chris motioned to Bobby to take a photo of Chris and Cindy in the most scenic part of the beach. "These photos will look great on Instagram," Cindy thought. Chris, on the other hand, was nervous. And then it happened: He got on one knee and presented a beautiful vintage emerald ring. Emerald being his birthstone and also green like the color of the heart chakra. Cindy had no idea and instantaneously proceeded to ugly cry. Oh, she ugly cried, and she said YES! Later that evening they visited an ex-pat bar where pretty much the whole island already knew of their engagement. It was the happiest moment of their lives so far.
