We met in church back in 2015 during spring time. Just like the flowers, our hearts bloomed for each other. We spent time getting to know each other by traveling together. Soon or later, we faced our challenges with our busy work schedule and our differences. So, we parted our ways for little bit but always cherished our memories we had made during the time we were together. And two years later, Moses was planning for different life in country opposite of US. He then decided to attend a summer retreat with the church one last time before leaving US. And I too needed a break and healing, so I also attended the summer retreat. Little did we know that we were going to the same retreat. Unplanned but planned by God, we reunited at the retreat, and was able to find out over the past two years that we missed each other very much. We decided to start the relationship again and this time to hold on to each other tight. So shortly after, Moses turned back from his plan of leaving US, just for us to start our relationship again. From then, every minute was so beautiful and special together and we made sure we are never separated again, so we decided to tied the knot!
Christmas time is our favorite time of the year. We love spending every moment together by celebrating time of our Christ. Moses made 2018 Christmas Eve extra special by proposing at Rockefeller Center, Ice skating Rink. Moses prepared one and only proposal for me for one whole year. He is a planner for sure. We decided to go for Ice skating at Rockefeller Center. Our plan was then to have dinner underneath the very famous Christmas tree that was filled with beautiful lights and with people all over the world. While Ice skating, it was time for a break, typically for employees to smooth out the ice. When the employees skated around to ask everyone to get out of the rink, it seemed like I was invisible to them, no one asked me to step out. Shortly after, rink was clear and a music started playing with me standing all alone. Our song " I can't help falling in love" was playing and I was so confused, had no idea that I was about to be proposed. Minute later, Moses skated towards me and grabbed my hands and started speaking. Honestly, I was so surprised that, to this day, I don’t remember what he had said except the last part when he said" I cant see my life without you" and he got on his one knee and asked me "Will you marry me?" . And when he popped the question, there was sound of everyone cheering and congratulating. It was just perfect. Nothing more I would ask for. I was, am and always will be the happiest girl! So we got engaged at Christmas eve of 2018.
