Both from Coral Springs, Cindy and Joe had never crossed paths until they met at Cindy’s church during a young adult night. Cindy asked Joe for his number and for weeks, they would carpool to church, sometimes chatting nonstop. Their friendship included weekly workouts and walks at the park, but Cindy wanted Joe to say outright he likes her. She got her way.

From FL – DC – LA - NC, Cindy moved to three states for her reporter career. They made 3 years in a long-distance relationship work by facetiming and making the most out of their visits. Finally, to keep Cindy from running to another state, Joe locked her down in Colorado after wearing her out on a 7-mile hike. They agreed to call North Carolina home.
