Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, guests should plan to wear all white for Traditional Ghanaian Engagement on Friday and formal attire for the wedding and reception on Saturday. For men, a tuxedo isn't required, a suit and tie are acceptable. For women, a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail or tea-length dress, or a dressy pantsuit are appropriate. Traditional African clothing is also acceptable.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the time listed on your invitation. For the traditional ceremony Friday, October 25th, 12:45 pm is appropriate. For the wedding on Saturday, October 26th, 4:15 pm is appropriate.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We’ve made the decision to have an adults-only celebration. We understand this may require additional arrangements, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support. Only children in the wedding party and select family members of the bride and groom may be present at the traditional engagement, wedding and reception.

Can I bring a date/guest?

Unfortunately, space is limited so we are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those who have already been invited.

When should I book my hotel room? Do you have any recommendations?

Answer

As soon as possible, our wedding weekend is popular, hotel rooms are filling quickly. You can find hotel recommendations by selecting the "Travel" tab.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided to the wedding venue from the Lansdowne Resort Hotel ONLY. The shuttle will pick guests up at 3:30pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes, parking is available at the wedding venue.
