How We Met

03/05/12

I remember first laying eyes on Eulises, a man that was so devoted & thirsty for God. He was heavily involved in church and ALWAYS had a smile on his face. A smile that reflected God's grace & love. As I became close friends with him, I knew he was a friend that I wanted in my life forever, but soon enough he became the guy I wanted next to me for the rest of my life. I am beyond blessed to be engaged to the most handsome man in the world. My best friend. Fiancee. And now soon to be husband! -Cindy The first time I saw her was in our youth Sunday class. The door opened, everything in the room stopped and my focus went straight to the most beautiful girl on the planet. Later on I signed up to be part of the church youth dance team. To my surprise she was the leader and coordinator of the team. Godly, talented, full of love and a heart that's straight from heaven, this is what drew me close to her. We soon became best friends and until this day she has always been there for me. Now we're ready to tie the knot. I'm so thankful for God's grace and favor, because I know without it Cindy would never have laid eyes on me. -Eulises

The Proposal

June 30th, 2017

It was Friday, and I was looking forward to our fancy dinner date. Once we arrived at the restaurant, Eulises told me we were not going to eat there but that we were going to eat at a restaurant with a skyline view of the city. I was excited, so I didn't really think much of it. We parked the car and as he was paying the parking meter, I noticed the truck parked in front of us looked a lot like my brother-in-law's truck. My suspicions began rising, so being the crazy girl that I am, I started digging through his pockets to see if there was a ring (there wasn't). So I dropped it, we started walking toward the building and went to the top floor. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I saw our families standing there with roses and pictures of us. I immediately started crying. As I looked at Eulises in shock, he pulled me out of the elevator. I began reading the notes he left with each family member until I got to the end. I saw him standing there and couldn't believe it. He said "So it looks like we won't be eating steak after all". I laughed and said "obviously” and I couldn’t believe what he said next. He got down on one knee and said "Cindy will you marry me?". I was so emotional that I didn't even let him finish his speech. I said "YES!" As it turns out, I'm still waiting for that elaborate dinner. We're so excited to share this next chapter in our lives with you!
