FAQs

Question

What is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

We would greatly appreciate it if you can RSVP as soon as possible, but the deadline for us to inform our vendors is March 1st, 2026! This is also when reservations for our hotel wedding block are due!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Although it’s June, we’ll be celebrating in the mountains, where evenings can be cool. Layers are encouraged. Cocktails and welcome drinks will be outdoors, with dinner indoors. We recommend solid colors and richer, evening-appropriate tones (deep greens, navy, burgundy, charcoal, black, etc). If possible, please avoid light pastels or heavy patterns. You may also have to walk a short distance on gravel and on a wooden deck - please consider this while selecting footwear!

Question

What's going with the hotel wedding block?

Answer

We contacted a hotel near our venue (Hotel Lamm) to reserve a block of rooms. You are of course welcome to stay elsewhere if you wish - there are a number of hotels within walking distance of Hotel Lamm that may better fit your needs or be at a price point of your liking! In terms of booking within the hotel wedding block, Italy handles hotel booking differently than the US - they have asked for a single point of contact to coordinate booking all guests, so Mark & Hannah will do this. To that end, on the Travel page there is a link to a Google form to collect all the requisite information. Payment will be handled with the hotel upon checkout. On this form, there are links to the Hotel Lamm website to view what the room options look like. Please do not use these links to book rooms - this will not give you the wedding block discount! Reservations as part of our wedding block close May 1st, 2026

Question

How do I get to the Hotel?

Answer

We recommend renting a car and driving to Castelrotto, especially if you plan to explore some of the hiking and sightseeing options throughout the Dolomites. Note that a booking at Hotel Lamm includes parking! If you do plan on driving, you should be able to pick up a rental car at the airport you're flying into. Beyond the American rental companies you may be familiar with, we have also used and had good experiences with Europcar, so feel free to consider them when looking at booking! You will also need an international driver's permit - AAA has a service to accomplish this for around $20. There are maybe 10 euro in tolls associated with driving on the highway - these can be paid in cash (Euro coins or up to 20 euro bills). Alternatively, there are some train options or a Flixbus (a European bus line akin to Greyhound) to get to nearby Bolzano. From there, you could complete the final leg of your trip using local buses!

Question

What I should I know when traveling to Europe?

Answer

1) Please make sure your passport is valid (and will not expire within 6 months of your travel dates) 2) Tap to pay is exceedingly common throughout Italy - you can use your credit card / Apple Pay / Google Pay easily at most places (just be sure to use a payment method without international fees!). Though cash remains king - there will never be an issue with cash (and may be preferred at some locations / for road tolls) 3) You likely can use your phone in Europe with minimal effort (no need for a new SIM card) - check with your cell provider, but many plans allow for you to use your phone in Europe the same as at home but with a nominal fee (something like a few dollars/day)
