FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding will have a formal dress code and we can't wait to see you dressed up! For gentlemen, this typically means a suit or tuxedo, and for ladies, floor-length or midi-length dresses are recommended. We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the elegance of the occasion.

Question

Will there be traffic?

Answer

YES! From our experience, the drive from Clear Lake takes approximately 1.5 hours to get to the Sandlewood. Please factor in Friday afternoon traffic, and allow yourself plenty of time. From Northwest Houston, it takes approximately 30-35 minutes.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at The Sandlewood Manor by 3:30PM to ensure you're seated and settled before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

The Sandlewood Manor has a small parking lot available. If you plan to enjoy the open bar, we ask that you please Uber or find a sober ride. No cars are permitted to be left at the venue overnight.

Question

Can I have a ride?

Answer

Yes! Shuttle services will be provided from The CityPlace Marriot Hotel. The shuttle will depart CityPlace Marriot at 3:00PM. The shuttle will depart The Sandlewood Manor at 8:00PM and 10:00PM.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as (Your Name) + (Guest) if a plus one has been given to you.

Question

Can children come?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers.

Question

Where do I stay?

Answer

Accommodation options are listed on the 'Travel' page of our website, and there are also plenty of Airbnb choices available in the Tomball/Woodlands/greater Houston area.

Question

Will we be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We plan for an indoor ceremony and reception. Cocktail hour will be held with the option for guests to enjoy inside The Manor House, or enjoy the patio outdoors.
