Our love story began when we both attended a lake party. Quan didn’t want to attend at first, but Ciera’s brother Franklin along with his brother’s Jeremiah and Jaylen convinced him to go. Ciera showed up later with one of her best friends Lauren and there friend Erica. Quan was talking to Lauren and Ciera tried introducing herself to him, he was caught off guard since it was dark as Ciera appeared out of nowhere. Quan and his brothers decided to leave the party but Ciera at the time was sitting on his cooler. Quan brought over a chair to exchange for his cooler so that she would still have a seat. Quan and the guys went to get something to eat. On the way there Lauren called him on Ciera’s phone asking Quan, “ What are you doing giving my best friend your number?” Quan’s response was, “I gave my number to everyone since I recently changed it.” Lauren continued by inviting Quan to an after lake party get together at their mutual friend Will’s house. After getting off of the phone Quan asked Frank if he would roll with him. Frank agreed because he expressed that he knew Lauren as well and that Ciera was his sister. Quan was shocked and asked Frank “ When did you get a sister Frank!” They both laughed and proceeded to head to Will’s house. Once arrived and greeting everyone Lauren told Quan she saved him a seat by the fire pit which it was right next to Ciera’s chair. Quan reintroduced himself to Ciera and he told her that she looked familiar but could not put his finger on it. Quan could truly see Ciera with the better lighting. Quan asked which congregations did she attend. Which posed the question if Ciera knew Dionne Braxton because they favored each other very much. Ciera responded “that is my aunt!”. Quan was surprised saying “Siohvan is my aunt!”. Now knowing that their aunts are best-friends since childhood and after 3 full meaningful hours of conversation. They figured out that they have been around each other since they were 8 years old but never on a first name basis. As the night ended they bided a good night and gave each other a hug. It must have been quite a long hug because Lauren yelled “that’s enough!” to the both and the rest is history!
