How we met (Nepo's side)

Our story wasn't love at first sight but rather fate and God's ultimate plan for our lives. One day I went downtown to celebrate my friend who moved out and had just got their own place. Little did know I would meet a wonderful but very shy angel of God. Our first conversation she couldn't even look at me in the eyes LOL!! A few weeks later I was invited to Hermon church for Jasper's worship night and there she was singing and dancing Kirundi, I unfortunately couldn't say Hi due a large crowd. I decided to go to Hermon church one Sunday and I never looked back, it felt like home and I was glad to worship and praise God in my mother language. And again my beautiful wife to be was there worshipping. A few years down the road I was on a call with a mutual friend and Savana jumped into our conversation blaming for calling other people but not her, I knew she meant it as a joke but man I took it to heart. We later had a Facetime call till morning. Ever since we kept texting and occasionally calling and then one day we were going to comfort a friend who had lost a loved one and I gave Savana and her friends a ride, best decision of my life. She sat in the front and the whole drive there it was just me and her having our own conversation that we didn't even realize everyone else in the car was quiet. From that moment I knew she was special and a very interesting woman. We kept in touch just as friends and siblings in Christ until her 23rd birthday. We had one of the most intimate moments over a Facetime call and the rest is history.

How we met (Savana's side)

Our story began in church. He first came to our church through an invitation from his friend on the same day my choir was hosting a worship concert. Funny enough, that wasn’t actually the first time we had met. We had briefly met before at a mutual friend’s house, but I was very shy and honestly avoided sitting in the living room with a stranger. The second time I saw him was at the worship night, but with so many people around, I barely noticed him. It wasn’t until he officially joined the church and later the choir that we truly got to know each other. Through conversations, we realized our paths had already crossed before. What started as friendship slowly became something deeper. One thing I admired about him from the beginning was how selfless he was. He was always available for people, always willing to help, and always ready to go the extra mile. The more we talked, the more we realized how much we shared the same values, especially our love for God. I remember one day we were driving together to visit a family that had lost a loved one, and we had such a meaningful conversation. I don’t even remember exactly what we talked about, but I remember thinking afterward, “This person is different.” At the time, I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but little by little, our friendship grew stronger. I was drawn to his love for God, his kindness, and the way he gives his best to everything he commits to. Without even realizing it, friendship turned into best friendship, and best friendship slowly turned into love.
