Maid of Honor
Liz and I joke that our friendship is the only good thing to come from a group project. We met in Foundations of Entrepreneurship my sophomore year at Belmont. We created a slightly bogus, slightly viable business plan that ultimately bonded us, leading to a nearly six (!) year friendship. We've withstood long-distance, FaceTime book clubs and Bible studies, enjoyed countless dinners and playing dress up in Liz's closet, multiple moves (hers and mine), and one of us going from very single to very much in love. Liz has stood by me through my first skiing lesson (I fell SO much it's laughable), my first (and final) love, the rollercoaster process of me figuring out my future endeavors, my growing relationship with Christ, and multiple tipsy evenings watching some early 2000s Disney Channel Original Movie. Liz truly loves the way Christ loved and I couldn't imagine a more selfless person to stand by my side as I make the most important vow of my life. Liz, thank you for being there for me. I'm beyond grateful for you!
Best Man
When I think of a friend, man and brother - I think of him. As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another. We met in the formative years of our early 20's. We enjoyed talking about body language and group dynamics early on. We would have conversations about books and stoic philosophy. We would go on walks and discuss life. We would discuss strength and diet, we even worked out a few times together. We drank milk when celebrating or discussing heart break. We've seen each other through good times and bad both personally and professionally. As an extremely driven person he continues to prove that all things are possible professionally, while keeping his family and wife the focus of his exciting life. The extent he has gone to help me grow into the man I have become is the basis of what I consider a friend to be. Ultimately, now we are brothers - old friends, fast friends and always happy to hear from one another. Thank you for being my best man, a well-earned title indeed.
