Flight
Lafayette, LA has it's own airport, located 15 minutes from downtown. New Orleans' airport is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Lafayette, and Houston's airports are both about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Lafayette.
Travel Note
If you're looking to stay in Lafayette without a car, we recommend The Juliet Hotel, or an AirBNB in the Downtown, Freetown or Arbolada Addition neighborhoods. This part of town is walkable and near Thursday and Saturday's events. More information about travel to Friday's event is below. If you're visiting with a car, Maison Mouton Bed and Breakfast, The Doubletree Hotel, or an AirBNB in the Saint Streets or Sterling Grove neighborhood near Maison Mouton are also recommended. If you're looking for a fun, authentic experience, check out one of Cypress Cove Landing's Houseboats! Please note that getting to Cypress Cove covers difficult terrain: the road is dark, winds around the swamp, and leads over the levee via a gravel road.
Travel Note
While Uber and Lyft are available in Lafayette, we recommend scheduling them in advance if you'll be flying into the Lafayette airport at an off time. Thursday and Saturday's activities will be within walking distance of downtown, where Uber and Lyft are available. Friday's ceremony is a 30 minute drive away. If you're traveling without a car, or you're willing to offer a ride to some (highly recommended) out-of-towners, please share your contact info to our Ride Share Google Sheet.
