Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are requesting everyone show up in formal attire for the main event. The men in our wedding party will be in kilts; if your family has customary, traditional wedding or celebration attire we would love for you to wear and share with us. Otherwise, suits and gowns please. (Tux optional; if you also want to join the kilt party please reach out to the bride or groom for more info.)

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love children (Elena is a teacher after all!), we ask that kids under 13 years old not attend. This allows us all to have a night off. If your child needs to attend (infants), please email us.

Question

I can't get a flight to Hartford airport! What do I do?

Answer

Our wedding destination is closest to the Hartford airport, but is easy to get to Hartford from Boston, Providence, or New York via train or bus and there will be family with cars who can help with transportation from Hartford to the hotel.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation gives you a plus one, then please do! Otherwise, we would prefer if it was just you.

How do I choose my food?

Answer

You do not need to choose your food ahead of time for any of our events. This way you can choose what you want in the moment when you're actually hungry!

How can we give you a gift?

Answer

Your presence is gift enough. However, if you would like to give us a gift we have plenty of things and would much prefer you donate to one of our cash funds on the registry tab. If you prefer an old fashioned check you may make it out to either Ciaran McCann or Helen Shapiro-Albert.
