The right place & the right time. That's what we both would say the night we met. I (Ciara) had just moved from California into a new city called Chapel Hill, North Carolina. After getting accustomed to the area and recovering from a long surgery I planned a night out with the girls to get back to myself. I was still very unfamiliar with the culture, people, and things to do in the area but, I was determined to get back into the swing of things. That night, Travis was preparing to meet with his longtime bestfriends at their favorite spot in town. Before we knew it our eyes met and gently started conversation. I was intrigued at how much a gentleman Travis was. As a matter of fact, he reminded me of home in California. A place of peace, light-heartedness, and freedom. I realized that after living in North Carolina after 2 years in 2017, he was the one person I could get close to and speak the same (Cali-Ciara) language I knew most people just couldn't understand. That conversation the best I had! It was then, we knew our hearts were the same.
