Where is the wedding venue?

Answer

Our wedding venue is in a vineyard region outside of Lisbon, called Alenquer. This is about 45 minute drive outside of Lisbon city centre.

How long should I stay in Lisbon?

Answer

We will be in Lisbon from Saturday 15th August to Saturday 22nd August. Guests are welcome to stay in Lisbon for as long or as short as they would like. If guests are in Lisbon during the time we are there, we would love to see you outside of the wedding events so do let us know!

What hotel are we staying in?

Cian and Sophia are staying in the Iberostar Selection Lisboa Hotel. Address: R. Castilho 64, 1250-071 Lisboa, Portugal.

Smart / Casual summer attire, linen, colour and comfortable as it will be warm.

We recommend you fly into Lisbon Airport.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have shared the location of our hotel and recommended similar hotels in the area on our Travel page. We recommend staying within Lisbon as there is a lot to do in the city, and it will be easy for you to get to and from the different venues.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

You will be required to make your own way to the wedding venue on the day of the wedding, ensuring you arrive between 4:45 - 5:00pm, for the ceremony to begin at 5:30pm. We recommend either pre-booking a local taxi or ordering an Uber/Bolt on the day.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you would like to rent a car to travel to the venue on the wedding day, then you are welcome. There is a lot of parking available at the venue. Alternatively, getting around Lisbon is tremendously easy via ride hailing apps, Uber and Bolt, which we would recommend.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As much as we'd love to say yes to everyone, our wedding is intimate and everyone who has a plus one will have already been told.

How do I get back to my accomodation after the wedding?

Answer

A bus has been arranged to take guests to Central Lisbon following the end of the wedding. The departure time will be 03:30am. The bus will be travelling from the wedding venue to the Iberostar Selecion Hotel, Lisboa. You will be required to make your own way from Iberostar Selecion Hotel to your own accommodation. Alternatively, you can order your own taxi outside of these times. A wedding co-ordinator will be available on the night to support with this.

Is there accomodation at the venue?

Answer

No, there is no accommodation at the venue. It is suggested you stay in the areas we have recommended.
