Casco Viejo is a great place to see the history of Panama City during the day, and go clubbing at roof top bars during the night. We would recommend visiting Casco Viejo if you will be staying in the city. The historical architecture is beautiful, and there are plenty of restaurants and museums here.
Walking distance from our wedding destination, you can book a surfing lesson at the Panama surf school. There is a nearby bar with small bites and drinks for those who just want to spectate the surf school as well.
The beach is always free! Be aware that the currents can be pretty strong here for swimming, and keep an eye on the tides! Some points can become dangerous or blocked off at high tide.
