At this time, we wanted to let you know our wedding is going forward as planned. As we move closer to the wedding date, we will keep you updated if anything changes here on our website. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we are making adjustments to ensure CDC guidelines are followed. We are going to be providing masks (in case you need one) and hand sanitizer for all guests. We will ask that our guests please wear a mask for the ceremony since it's in a smaller space. We will also ask guests to please wear a mask when getting dinner. We are not requiring masks to be worn the entire time at our wedding, but we ask that you please use your best judgement. We met in class our senior year of high school! Before anyone asks: No, we are not high school sweethearts, but our story begins in high school! It was that awkward thing where we both knew who the other one was, but we never really spoke to each other. Our paths never really crossed before because we never were in the same class. Chuy was involved in cross country, and Haley was consumed by the dance team. However, luck would have it, we finally got a common class together our senior year! At the start of the semester, we didn’t really speak to each other. However, one day in class, Haley was hanging out at a lab bench with a couple friends when Chuy came over and joined the group. It didn’t take long for us to hit it off! We would goof around with each other, make jokes, play Pokemon, and sometime in between work on an assignment or two. Little did we know it was the start of our love story!
A Little Background Information: Chuy bought a house about a month earlier! (Yay!) To mark this big life event, we were planning on taking pictures out at the lot with the “Sold” sign, but the builder didn't have the signs available yet. Let Us Set the Stage! On April 13th (2019), Fort Worth had its typical crazy spring weather - hail in the morning, patches of sunshine throughout the day, and random rain showers that came out of nowhere. Chuy and his brothers were returning from watching a boxing fight in California, and Haley was enjoying a typical relaxing Saturday around the house. The Big Event!! Chuy had returned from California and called Haley up saying the “Sold” signs were in and let’s go take the pictures out at the lot! Haley was surprised by this call since Chuy had just got back from the trip and the weather had been terrible most the day. Of course, Haley tried to push the photos back a day so the weather would be better and she would look nicer (Haley was rocking the sweatpants and no makeup look at the time of the phone call.). Thankfully Chuy convinced Haley to change and come take photos! We met out at the lot, and Chuy's brother and sister were there to take our photo. Next thing Haley knew, Chuy was down on one knee and we were engaged! Now, after 5 years of friendship, 4 years of dating, and over a year of being engaged, we can’t wait to tie the knot and start our happily ever after! Fun Fact: Our first date photo is located at the bottom of this page!
