Flight
The CO Springs Airport is our go-to for domestic flights. It's much smaller than DIA, easier to navigate and only 24 miles from Woodland Park.
Flight
If you're planning to come prior to our wedding or stay after to explore Colorado, this is a great central location to fly into. DIA is close to many great cities (Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins) and just a hop skip and a jump away from great mountain areas (Estes Park, Breckenridge). We highly recommend planning your flight times to avoid rush hour traffic.
Hotel
Please mention the "Baldridge or Church wedding" to receive your stay at a discounted rate. There are double queen rooms blocked BOTH Friday 7/12 and Saturday 7/13 for $185 per night. **When you call please make sure you specify if you’d like to be booked for one or both nights.
House Or Rental
Another great option for lodging. Central area within Woodland Park as well as close proximity to the wedding venue.
Travel Note
We adore this area of CO - it still holds onto the charm that reminds us of the state we grew up in.. slow mountain living, Western flare, friendly people, fresh mountain air (can you feel the nostalgia)? For this very reason however, lodging can be a bit rustic and there are fewer options compared to other mountain towns where tourism has boomed. If you are planning to stay within the Woodland Park/Lake George area we STRONGLY recommend booking your lodging sooner rather than later.
Travel Note
If you are planning to camp around the area these are FCFS sites we recommend (tested first hand by yours truly) Near Rampart Reservoir: Thunder Ridge and Meadow Ridge Campgrounds. Small amount of FCFS sites available. We recommends trying to get there Thursday night to reserve as weekends book out fast. Round Mountain Campground: most you must reserve in advance but there is also dispersed camping around this area. So pretty, quiet and just a hop skip & jump away from the venue.
