While waiting for my friend Dani to finish a conversation with our favorite teacher, I happened to notice Evan standing nearby, clearly waiting for his opportunity to ask a question. As I lingered, half-listening to their discussion, my attention drifted to Evan’s T-shirt — boldly emblazoned with the logo of the band Megadeth. Without a moment’s hesitation, I called out, ‘You’re a Megadeth fan? We absolutely need to be friends. What’s your name?’ He laughed, we exchanged a quick dap, and from that moment our friendship was born!
