Katie & Austin have chosen to have a small, intimate wedding ceremony that is a separate event from the reception party. The ceremony will be a couple weeks earlier than the reception party, and the couple will be surrounded by immediate family and a couple childhood best friends.
In short, a reception party is, well, just that: a party after our ceremony. It’s sort of like the “reception” that traditional weddings have. Think of a traditional wedding day composed of ceremony + reception, and split the two events over two separate days. Katie & Austin will do all the official stuff (read vows, have their ceremony, sign their marriage license, etc) during their small ceremony in Highlands, NC. And then a couple weeks later, the Chunns will celebrate in Atlanta with all of their family and friends.
Yes! Austin & Katie are getting married a couple weeks before the reception party. The ceremony will be an intimate gathering between immediate family and a couple childhood best friends. We look forward to celebrating with ALL of our friends and family at the reception party!
Because the majority of our friends and family reside in Metro Atlanta, we will not provide any transportation to or from the venue. That being said, the venue has on-site parking and you are able to get an Uber or Lyft in Atlanta very quickly.
Yes, there is a limited amount of parking spots on-site. We recommend carpooling or using a ridesharing app (Uber or Lyft).
When the cocktail hour begins at 6:30 pm. We will then transition into the reception space beginning at 7:15 pm.
We love all of the sweet kiddos in our lives, but we kindly ask that you leave them at home. Enjoy a parent's night out!
Attire is semi-formal/cocktail. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.
For our out-of-towners, we are so thankful to you for making the trip! Please check the "Travel" tab on our website for hotel recommendations that are within a 2-mile radius of the venue.
