Travel Note
Our wedding is in the D.C. suburbs, but we hope you can take some time to explore D.C. while you're in town! The best way to get around the D.C. area is by Metro, the city’s subway system. Ubers and Lyfts are also readily available. We encourage you to use the public transit in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). The SmartTrip app is available on iOS and Android and lets you get a transit card that you can add to Apple Wallet. It pays for Metro and any bus route. If you make your way to H St., the street car is free! While our wedding venue is not within walking distance of a Metro station, it’s just a 10-minute Uber/Lyft ride from the Bethesda Metro station. We do not recommend renting a car, as driving and parking in D.C. can be challenging. If you choose to rent a car, we suggest staying in downtown Bethesda, which is easier to navigate.
Flight
There are three airports in the D.C. area—DCA, IAD, and BWI. DCA is the most convenient and easiest to navigate. Both DCA and IAD have Metro stations, offering service into D.C. and surrounding suburbs/cities.
Travel Note
We’ve reserved room blocks at two hotels in downtown Bethesda for easy access to our wedding venue. Bethesda is about a 35-minute Metro ride to the National Mall and other popular D.C. attractions. If you'd prefer to stay closer to D.C.'s main sights, we recommend the DuPont Circle area. It's a walkable neighborhood with easy access to many of our favorite D.C. activities. It’s about a 30-minute Lyft or Uber ride to the wedding venue.
