Out of curiosity & a last ditch effort at online dating, both Chuck & I logged on to a site “one last time!” Hahaha He liked my profile and I loved his smile, oh those dimples! But what really intrigued me were his black painted nails! I thought, hey maybe this guy plays guitar or likes punk! After chatting I discovered he plays the Bass AND loves 70’s/80’s Punk! I couldn’t believe it! In fact, we were at some of the same shows in the 80’s! We talked on the phone and really enjoyed our conversations, it came easily. Then we met in person….WOW! He was such a gentleman! He was not all about himself, in fact, he was really focused on me and making me comfortable. We hit it off immediately! And…he wore a DK (Dead Kennedys) t-shirt! We talked until we shut the place down and then talked in his truck. We decided that we’d go for breakfast since it was now morning! I had zero idea that he was supposed to go to work at 4 am! I was surprised when he called me quickly, he didn’t play any games with dating. He was interested in me and wanted to see me again. We planned a second date but since he called every evening we decided to go out the night before our next date! We got interviewed by a YouTube channel on dating! We kept seeing each other as often as our schedules allowed and had zero desire to see others. We were pretty infatuated. Like all dating I expected to find serious red flags and major issues…but every time I stopped to assess, there were none. I had to re-assess and make sure I wasn’t choosing to ignore any warning signs…NONE! We are totally opposite on some major issues but we respect each other’s differences and love to discuss them and find common ground. Always determining that we care for each other more than any of our differences. Our relationship grew into a serious deep love and admiration for each other. My kids loved him and my family really liked him and wanted to get to know him better. We both were addicted to Friday night dancing together! Whenever we texted we used black hearts 🖤 because of our love for PUNK. That became our thing. We took a road trip for him to meet my dad. We took a road trip with the kids to spend Spring Break in a condo in St. George with extended family. We flew to Seattle to experience my beloved Washington over my birthday. We went to Mexico with the kids and played together even weathering a hurricane together! He took me to Ireland 9 months after he asked me if I would go there with him! That’s only about an 1/8 of the things we did during our first year! He proposed to me in Ireland with a Black Heart Onyx ring after a year of amazing dating each other. I love this man more than I ever thought it was possible to love a man. He brings such joy into my life. I am forever thankful that we met when we did. It was the perfect timing for us! I love you Chuck! 🖤 Well, Christe ♥️ and I met through Facebook dating. I had just gotten back on Facebook dating after a little hiatus. And she was the first person that popped up in my feed so I thought she looks cute and she fit what I was looking for so, I took a chance and said hi and she said hi back and we started talking. Which led to our first date. Our first date was awesome. She was so cute and we talked and talked and talked into the early morning and ended up having breakfast together at Denny’s. Anyway, this lead to a few more dates and with each date we learned a little bit more about each other, and I learned that she was what I was looking for. One of the things that I learned is we have some common Music taste. One of them is punk music and we really bonded over it.other. It was awesome! We’ve now been together for almost a year and a half and I’ve come to realize that she’s the perfect partner all around Christe ♥️. I love you so much and I can’t wait to be your husband
