We are booked for the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort. The address is 2255 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815. Due to the informal nature of our elopement, we do not expect anybody to stay at the same hotel as us if it is not suitable to your family’s preferences or budget. We are looking at a beach in Waimanalo (35-45 minutes away from Waikiki) for our official ceremony.
We leave Austin August 5th and depart from HNL August 12th, but we encourage you to come and go within whatever timeline best suits your family. Our Austin to Honolulu flights are: UA 324 AUS-SFO (8:00am-9:45) and UA 2380 SFO-HNL (11:35am-1:59pm) Our flights back home are UA 1221 HNL-LAX (8:30am-5:06pm) and UA 5574 LAX-AUS (6:45pm-11:59pm)
Think Hawaii beach casual in any color or design of your choice. We will be in all white so we ask that you avoid wearing white if at all possible. Also keep comfort in mind, as we will be standing on the sand and likely in the sun (bring sunnies!)
We are still in the process of finalizing details. We are coordinating start time for a ceremony with a photographer but likely will start sometime between 12-2. Other than that, plan to travel back to Waikiki for a dinner afterwards with a start time of 5:30pm.
At this time, we only plan on making the ceremony and dinner the only events with a formal structure. As we get closer and make other plans (day trips, hikes, etc) we will ask others if they would like to join in the fun but everyone is encouraged to make their own plans and meet up as they please during the trip.
You are welcome to bring a significant other/ plus one to the ceremony or any other events! Just let us know in advance so that we can make sure to have a seat for everyone at the dinner table.
Due to the small number of invited guests, there will not be a block at our chosen hotel. There is a variety of hotels within walking distance suitable for any budget.
