Maid of Honor
Cassy (aka Bestie), my beautiful MOH and I met working at Lithia together over a decade ago. She has been my ride-or-die ever since. She is always down for any adventure, has the biggest heart, will show-up in an instant for all life's hardships and accomplishments and her family has become my second family. Her dad is our officiant, someone that Travis and I admire greatly, her mom is the most giving person you will ever meet, and she is also married to one of the groomsmen in the wedding. Travis and I frequently visit them in Portland or have them down to Chico for the next adventure.
Best Man
Jeff is my brother and the Best Man in every sense of the word. The one who has been by my side every step of the way. Not always by choice but that's what happens when you're family. Always there to give advice and much wiser than his age. He is growing the family business all while being super dad at home. I had the pleasure of being his Best Man ten years ago. I hope his speech is better than mine was.
Bridesmaid
Cassy (aka Bro) was my first best friend in life, my gorgeous sister inside and out. The one who knows all my secrets, has the most embarrassing stories and pictures of me, one of my biggest cheerleaders and someone who I look up to greatly. She became a badass nurse, one of the funniest people I know and her, and her husband Sam recently brought my beautiful niece Sloan into the world back in November 2024.
Groomsman
Married to Chrystina's Maid of Honor Cassy, we were going to be friends whether we liked it or not. Luckily, we hit it off and now he is one of my closest friends. From talking business on the phone, to playing ping pong in Hawaii he always finds a way to push me to be better. Which is good, because at some point I'm pretty sure Chrystina and Cassy are going to force us to live on a compound together.
Bridesmaid
Carrington (aka Girly) is one of the most genuine souls you will ever come across and my next youngest sister. She gives the best hugs (seriously, the best) that can brighten any day. Her natural and minimalist way of life and the way she can throw down in the kitchen are something to strive for. She also made me an auntie! Her and Matthew brought my beautiful niece Samara into the world back in June of 2024.
Groomsman
My brother from another mother. We met in junior college and became friends instantly. We have been there for life's ups and downs. And just like brothers do, we have lived together, had our fist fights, been pissed off, not talked for months and still find a way to duck hunt or drive across the country to chase elk. The only guy who can tell me to F*** off, mean it, and not leave with a broken nose.
Bridesmaid
Emma is my youngest girl cousin on the Braught side and my fellow empath. She has the biggest heart, will do anything for anyone and be the first person to show-up when it matters most. Family is everything to her. Emma and I got to be roommates for a short time when she was in college and have always had a special bond through the years. Emma recently got married back in October 2024 to the love of her life and has been giving the best wedding planning advice during my journey.
Groomsman
My original arch enemy. When we met in College, I couldn't stand this guy who was strong, smart, driven and the fastest guy I had ever seen. So when I found out he was moving into my apartment, you could say I was not happy. The coach then made us spend every waking moment together until we could "get along." He became my closest friend for those years, and it was the definition of Iron Sharpens Iron. He still pushes himself in every area of life and is an inspiration as a husband, a father, and a man.
Bridesmaid
Mady is another Braught cousin of mine with the most infectiousness laugh. While her heart is soft and pure, she is also free-spirited and full of passion. You can find Mady at Burning Man with her soon to be husband. Not many people can say they are getting married the same year as one of their cousins/best friends, but it's been a wonderful journey together. She beams of pure sunshine and happiness.
Groomsman
Graig was a player of mine when I coached college baseball. Then he became an assistant. Then a friend. He is an amazing man of faith and walks that line every day. He is truly part of the family, so much so that he has worked for my parents construction company before he became a painting contractor. It has been an honor watch him go from player to coach, to man, to business owner.
Bridesmaid
Paige was my first friend when I moved to Oregon at 9 years old. Her family lived a couple houses down the road from us with sisters the same ages as my siblings. We only lived in the same town for a short period of time. Her family moved to Arizona and even with several moves since, we have remained great friends picking right back up where we left off with each visit. She is truly the life of the party!
Groomsman
Mr. Jimmy was one of the first people I met when I moved to Chico. We became friends when he took a chance on me and rented me a house even though I had a big yellow lab and dogs weren't allowed in his rentals. He and his wife Rachael took me in a fed me many meals when I didn't have much. I will never forget the kindness you both showed me during the hard times.
Bridesmaid
Jade and I met in high school and bonded through cheerleading. Her and I cheered all through high school and college together. Jade and I practically lived at each other's houses in high school, and she is someone who was there through all of my teenage awkwardness. She is my fellow Beaver believer, insanely talented with a paintbrush in her hand and will begin to snort when the belly laughs kick-in. While we live miles apart, we always pick right back up where we left off with our cheeks hurting from laughing so hard.
Groomsman
A fellow "custom farmer." We met and became friends when we realized our business could do better working together. He is also a rice farmer/PCA/ avid hunter/amazing family man and allows his wife to be collector of dogs and farm animals. We really bonded over fly fishing especially since neither of us had ever fly fished when we went the first time. But now he has become quite the fly fisherman. Besides looks, skill, experience, height, fame and the size of fish he catches.... He and Brad Pitt in "A River Runs Through It" are basically the same person.
Bridesmaid
Jackie is my beautiful Sister-in-Law, married to the Best Man and has blessed us with our beautiful flower girls/nieces, Jayde and Jaycee. She can kick your A** at any card or board game and whip you up some of the most amazing food you have ever had. Jackie welcomed me into the Fortner family since day one, but we can finally make it official and share the same last name. She is wicked smart and always down for a winery adventure.
Groomsman
Calvin is Chrystina's only brother. He and I formed a bond almost immediately. Not long after Chrystina moved in with me, Calvin spent the summer with us working everyday back when we were still doing dirt work in the hedging off season. He was driving a loader before he could drive a car. He is always quick to ask questions and wants to know every detail of the subject he is working on. He now works with me every day and is taking this quality into the hedging company. He is growing leaps and bounds in work, the gym, and personal development. I cannot wait to see where this young man ends up in life. Hopefully its somewhere close to Chrystina and I.
Bridesmaid
Rachael, is my champagne queen! She and her husband who is also in the wedding party share a marriage that Travis and I look up to greatly. One with God at the center. Rachael was my neighbor when I first moved to Chico and only a short quad ride away. She is always down for any wild adventure and someone who you can get lost in conversation with over a bottle of wine.
Groomsman
There is not enough time or space on this website to portray the way I feel about Provost. He is truly an inspiration to me as well as many others. I had the privilege to be his coach during college baseball. A time when I was a kid, coaching other kids. Tyler believed in me almost as much as I believed in him. Since then, we have become close friends and supporters of each other. Our conversations still start with "Coach T, tell me about your wins" I am truly blessed to have him in my life as a friend and mentor.
Bridesmaid
Kristen was the very first friend I met here in Chico, back when Travis and I first started dating and right away we bonded over running and many other shared hobbies/interests. Her and her husband, who is also in the wedding party are some of Travis and I's greatest friends who we consider family along with their beautiful kiddos.
Groomsman
Jack, Chrystina's cousin, always quick with a smile and an opinion. He and I have had many long nights and/or phone calls discussing the philosophy and meaning of life. One of the most genuine people I know. With Jack, what you see is what you get. And usually what you see is someone who is passionate about what he believes in, yet always willing to hear your side. Watching him grow over these past 6 years has been an honor. I am proud to call him family.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and I met while working at Lithia together in the Benefits department. We instantly hit it off while bonding over the daily hurdles in our department. Taylor and I have been fortunate enough to travel for work together, got to be neighbors in the same apartment complex and are getting married just 2 weeks apart. Taylor is getting married to the love of her life 5/2/2025 and it's been so fun planning weddings side-by-side. She is beautiful, smart and obsessed with all thing's baseball.
Groomsman
Keven and his wife Kristen would be the first ones at our door step if we ever needed help. He has been there for many long conversations about my business (and personal) struggles. He introduced me into a business group that has helped me navigate many tough times, and for that, thank you! He and his wife are our go-to friends for a rodeo, concert, Christmas tree hunting, or a last-minute emergency sleep over with the kids when a fire (or flood) is ripping through the area. cheers to many more (hopefully not emergency related) fun outings.
Jr. Bridesmaid
Kenzie is my youngest sister and full of sass! She is obsessed with all things girly and sparkly and will outlast anyone on the dance floor. Kenzie may come off quiet and shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she will talk your ear off. She is the perfect puzzle piece to our family tree, and I am grateful for her outspoken and wild sprit.
Groomsdog
This guy has been by my side through thick and thin. Not always happy about it, since he was a grumpy old man at the age of 2. Always ready to jump in the truck and go anywhere that involves a shotgun, then angry when I miss an easy shot. Stubborn, hardheaded and constantly challenging Chrystina. This ol dog has got me through some really hard times, some of them he caused. But that's neither here nor there.
Flower Girl
Jayde is our beautiful first-born niece. This girl is wicked smart and can kick your butt on a rock wall or on a mat in the gymnastics studio. She is the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. Her laugh is something you don't want to miss and will make any day brighter
Bridesdog
The opposite of Tucker in every way. Happy, funny and sweet. It is impossible to be mad at this girl for more than 30 seconds. She literally vibrates with excitement for life. And unless you want to see the cake go flying, please no one bring a B-A-L-L to the wedding.
Flower Girl
Jaycee is our beautiful spitfire niece. This girl is wild and loves to be outside the most. She is the perfect mix of girly-girl and country-girl. If her big sister is doing it, she wants to be doing it too. Jaycee will keep you on your toes, laughing at all times and brings so much joy to everyday.
Officiant
Tom and his wife Kim took Chrystina in as a second daughter well before I was in the picture. But they both invited me in with open arms. They have both done so much for us. From trips to Hawaii, to long talks where I asked hours of questions about his business savvy. When the thought of who we wanted to officiate our wedding, Tom wasn't a top choice, he was the ONLY choice. I am not sure how we will ever repay him and Kim for the kindness and generosity, but we will spend years trying.
