We met move in day, freshman year of college. He lived on the first floor guys, and I on the third floor of girls. We would occasionally hang out, go out to parties together, and ride skateboards down the dorm halls at all hours. A few years later, and a couple of Greek letters, we found each other again at a 4th of July tailgate down in York. After a handful of formals, paint parties, and York City bar nights, the rest was history. Who ever though that a Phi Mu and Phi Psi could make it happen, or that we would credit YCP Residence Life for brining us together all those years ago.
The first place I ever took Keith when he visited Long Island was to Central Park. Every summer we take a day trip into the city, have lunch in the park, rent a row boat to go around the lake, and talk about how magical the park is. Almost 5 years later, we took the same trip into the city and headed to the boat house as we always do. This time instead of sitting for lunch, we sat by the fountain and before I realized it he was down on one knee with a ring in his hand and the magical words of "will you marry me?" I screamed "YES" in front of a sea of people and bursted into the happiest of tears.
For those of you who are familiar with the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", our big day will be very similar but with a modern day twist. No big blue dresses or windex, but lots of ouzo, Greek dancing, and of course cake! We're so excited to start this next chapter in our lives and hope you can join us in celebrating our #BigFatGashoWedding
The health and safety of our guests is of the upmost importance to us. We cannot wait to celebrate our big day with friends and family by our side and hope you can join us on our date. We will continue to monitor New York State restrictions as the months go on and use our website for further announcements.
