Ten years ago, we found ourselves connecting during a robotics competition trip in Virginia. During a heated game of hide and seek that spraled through the whole hotel, Olga chose to hide in an elevator. Chris had the same idea, and when he got on he realized they were both bound to get caught. Chris told Olga to hide by the buttons. When the door opened, he got caught, but she was in the clear. The game eventually ended and the group all collected in a hotel room to hang out. It was in that room that we spent a while talking and sharing music, eventually deciding to sneak off to go stargazing. So, on the open air hallway of the hotel's second floor, we lay and stared at the ceiling, looking at the constellations on Olga's phone app when we realized we couldn't actually see the sky. The night went on and we talked more, getting to know each other before leaving with a kiss. A long time has passed since then, we've both grown and changed but we've always kept that sense of wonder and imagination between us. No matter what blocks our sight, we'll always see the sky. *
