Our Story

We met in 2016 at Alta Loma High School. Over the years we became close friends and spent a lot of time hanging out, cooking, swimming and playing video games. During the COVID lockdown in 2020 our friendship grew into something deeper. The transition from best friends to dating was easy and fun, and we often asked "why didn't we do this sooner?!" We spent 2 years doing long distance while Christyn earned her Master's degree in San Diego and Jacob bought and built his window cleaning business. We made memories through taking trips together and lots of phone calls. Over the last 4 years as a couple our adventures have taken us to Joshua Tree, Portland, Zion, Shaver Lake, Las Vegas, Monterey Bay, Santa Barbara, New York City, Boston, and more. We finally took our adventures international when we visited Scotland, Switzerland and Italy for our honeymoon. When we aren't planning a trip we love to play board games, cook, spend time with our families and play with our two cats, Rory and Willow. We feel so blessed to have so many people supporting us as newlyweds. Thank you for being part of our story. 🤍

Our Wedding

On June 18, 2024 we eloped in Cannon Beach, Oregon. We chose to have a small ceremony in the forest at Ecola State Park. Under a canopy of incredible trees we made our vows to each other before God and our families. Christyn's father was the officiant and led a beautiful ceremony. We shared some cake and cider with our families, Christyn's siblings, Kelly and Ryan, shared some kind words about our journey as a couple. Then, the two of us went off on our own with our photographer and hiked through the old growth forest. It was so peaceful and magical. We hiked to the most breathtaking cliff on the coast and the view took our breath away. In all of our travels we have never seen anything as incredible as being alone on that cliff on our wedding day. We ended the day on the beach near Haystack Rock and we played and ran with lanterns. It was beautiful from start to finish and we still can't believe it was real. We had the wedding of our dreams and we can't wait to celebrate the start of our marriage with all of you.
