If you ask Christy you'll get a different story than Thurman and vice versa, but it goes a little something like this. It all started in college at the University of Florida. Go Gators! The year is 2013 and Christy was out with some girlfriends at one of the popular bars called "Balls" (I kid you not). Thurman was also out with some of his friends and we bumped into each other and got to talking and that was that. A whole year goes by and during this time he had added Christy on Facebook and would check on her page from time to time but they never ran into each other. Flash forward to January 2014 and Christy decided she wanted to go watch the NFL playoffs at one of our favorite college bars, Cantina. Thurman also happened to be there with his old college roommate. Thurman looked at his roommate and said: "today is the day". Thurman then proceeds to walk up to Christy and they started striking up conversations about life and football. He then asks Christy for her number and they go to exchange numbers and they are already programmed in both phones. We realized that we must have exchanged numbers from that night a year prior. Thurman called Christy the next day to ask her on a proper date and the rest is history :)

Christy and Thurman went to London for the annual Jacksonville Jaguar game held at Wembley stadium every year. They had been the year prior and were anxious to get back. The game was towards the end of their trip and the proposal was a complete surprise. Christy had a scare when her ticket into the game almost blew away, but she was able to retrieve it thanks to some help from some friends. They both get to their seats and they are catching up with everyone and getting excited for the big game to start. After the anthem, Christy suddenly notices everyone around her staring at her and pointing their phones in her direction. At first, she thought maybe there was a celebrity nearby or maybe she was on the big screen. There was a lot of confusion until she felt a tug on her arm. She looks down to her right and there's Thurman with tears in his eyes and a big shiny ring asking Christy to marry him. She had so many emotions that she didn't know what to do. At first, she started walking in the other direction, then she was laughing, then she was crying. She said YES over and over again. The moment was so surreal and so special that it's something they will both cherish for the rest of their lives.
