Food & other FAQs

Our wedding may be a little different from what you might be used to! We want to share some details on this page so you know what to expect before arriving. Joe and I are both laid back and casual in nature, so we knew from the beginning a traditional wedding was not the way we wanted to go. We wanted our wedding to reflect "us". As you get ready for our big day, please know that we expect a thing or two to go wrong and we are ready to laugh and roll with it. We are not getting caught up in the details that might make us forget what the day is really about (our marriage!) or make us forget to enjoy all of our favorite people gathered with us to celebrate the beauty that marriage is. The highlights of our wedding will not center around the decorations, the food, or the dress; they will center around the moments we share with each other, our family, and our friends.
Question

What food are you serving?

Answer

We hope you are as excited as we are for our food truck wedding! Here is the menu: Vincent's BBQ Smokehouse: Smoked pulled pork, smoked pulled chicken Sides- Macaroni & cheese, cornbread, baked beans, and a special that layers macaroni and cheese, pulled chicken, cornbread crumble and bacon Buns and house made sauce included. Rustique: Brick Oven Pizzas: Four cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, provolone, and manchego with pesto or tomato sauce), Clasico (hand-cut, dry- cured pepperoni and mozzarella) Margarita (tomato, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic glaze) Gaucho (pepperoni, italian sausage, pulled pork, salami, ham, and bacon) Sides- Pesto Fries Dessert: Cake & gelato from The Knotted Cone

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal. We hope our wedding day is a fun excuse for you to wear your cocktail attire, but if your heels are too high or your tie is too tight, feel free to let it all hang loose!

Question

Is there a seating chart?

Answer

No! We want you to sit wherever you feel comfortable (besides, your real spot is on the dance floor). We will not have a head table and we are excited to mingle with everyone throughout dinner and the rest of the night!

Question

I have a dietary restriction- how can I let you know?

Answer

We have gluten free and vegetarian options included in our meals! If you have another dietary restriction you would like us to know about, send us an e-mail at christynjahns@gmail.com and we will do our best to make sure you are well fed!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

After we send out our invitations, there will be a link at the top of this website, all you have to do is type your name in! Please RSVP by June 1st, 2021. When you RSVP, we will have you select your preferred choice of food (BBQ, pizza, or both) to make sure we will have enough available.

Question

How long will the food trucks be there?

Answer

The food trucks are scheduled to be serving food from 6:00pm-9:00pm. This way we can both avoid long lines and ensure everyone gets as much food as they want. There is no limit per person- feel free to go up for more and feel free to try food from both food trucks (we know we will!) Additionally, the gelato truck will be there from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

You bet! Badger State has a large parking lot so everyone should have plenty of room, however, the beer garden will still be open to the public on that day, so there will be other people parking there as well.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

If your kids names are on your invitation, then yes! If they are not and you would like to bring them, that's completely fine, just send us an e-mail at christynjahns@gmail.com so we can get an accurate head count!

For all the days along the way
